Nick Herron has been working with clients interested buying and selling real estate in Sarasota, Venice and Sarasota’s Barrier Islands for twenty years. His wife, Kathleen has been working with him for the past six. They have seen Sarasota grow from a sleepy little town into a thriving cultural center, just as they’ve seen the changes that have come to Sarasota’s barrier islands. They offer that wealth of experience to every client they work with.

Nick was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a BS in Business and Marketing. In 1982 he took a job as the National Sales Manager for a flooring company and was quickly promoted to Vice President of Sales, a position that brought him to Florida.

Nick’s new job allowed him to live anywhere, as long as he was near an airport. He spent time exploring the state that had become his adopted home, and from all that was available, he chose Casey Key. He had fallen in love with the barrier island’s “Old Florida” lifestyle and the opportunities it afforded him to pursue his passions for boating and golf.

By the late eighties, he had decided he had traveled enough. He also realized, after buying and selling a number of homes that he was doing better in real estate as he was in sales. He decided to share his love of the barrier islands and Sarasota with others wanting to live the Florida dream and obtained a real estate license. He went to work for RE/MAX because he felt – and still does – that the company offers both its clients and its sales staff a better deal than other companies – and Nick is man that knows a good deal.

Living In Paradise Party on Casey Key

The Living in Paradise Party was put on by Casey Key residents Jerry & Rita Collins in there Gulf front home at 1143 Casey Key Road. They purchased the home a year ago for Four & 1/2 Million and have been remodeling and decorating for most of the year.

They had a very large lighted tent set up on their Gulf front lawn.

You were first greeted by two large ice carved dolphins, large dance floor and stage. Several bars were available for the more than 150 guest. Servers were continuing to circulate with all types of delicious hors d'oeuvres.

Dinner was then served buffet style, steak kabobs, grouper, ribs, cheese potatoes, and two types of vegetable dishes and some special sauces.

Desert was served later key lime cheese cake with a strawberry sauce.

They had a great Vegas style floor show followed by two singing groups. One of the entertainers was brought in from Indiana the other a popular local group which entertained until Midnight.

I think it may be the party of the year on Casey Key, but you never know.
